Corporate junior colleges in the State have got a new lease of life following the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announcing an online process to grant affiliation to the new colleges and sanction requests for additional sections.

Hyderabad: Corporate junior colleges in the State have got a new lease of life following the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) announcing an online process to grant affiliation to the new colleges and sanction requests for additional sections.

It may be mentioned here that earlier the TSBIE had taken a tough posture against the corporate colleges running classes under different names. However, it had announced allowing of applications for change of names of the existing colleges, sanctioning of affiliations to newly proposed colleges and increase in the additional sections for the academic year 2020-21.

Accordingly, it has directed its regional offices to accept applications only through online mode from all the managements who wanted to start new junior college in general and vocational streams.The dates for the submission of online applications have been extended till June 27 without late fee. With a late fee of Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000, the college managements can submit their applications till August 4 and 11, respectively. With a late fee of Rs, 10,000 applications can be submitted online till August 17.
