Patancheru: Dogs and monkeys, with their attacks and intrusion into houses, are causing headache to the residents of J P Colony in the town.

The canines, moving in groups, are not sparing even pedestrians during the attacks. They are biting children moving alone and causing bleeding injuries. The visual of a dog attacking a student while walking in front of his house has been captured on CC TV footage.

In Ameenpur municipal limits, a pedestrian student while moving in front of his house chased by a dog and bitten two days back. He is being treated in a private hospital in Hyderabad, according to his family members, there is no scope for a plastic surgery to treat the wounds.

The injured in attacks by both dogs and monkeys are being referred to Fever Hospital in Hyderabad after preliminary treatment here, as local government hospitals lack the necessary medicine, Dr. Veerabhadram, duty doctor, Patancheru Area Hospital, told The Hans India.

Monkeys from rural areas seem to have liked to the town. During the last two days an ape bit both children and adults.

Keeping the attacks in view, locals have demanded immediate measures by the district administration to control attacks by the animals.
