Hyderabad: Two months after the state government's announcement of over 10% incentive for the frontline warriors, patient care and sanitation workers protested over the unfulfilled promise by the Telangana government, at Gandhi hospital here on Tuesday.

MIT Narasimha, the secretary-general of AITUC and deputy secretary of Telangana Medical Contract Workers Union, criticised the Telangana government for not paying the announced incentives.

The protesters demanded a sufficient number of masks and kits to all workers. Telangana medical education officers issued a circular on July 4 to distribute all medical personnel in two divisions and give them seven days' quarantine payment.

It was announced on the occasion that the workers' problems would be resolved immediately. The frontline workers from Osmania, Nilofer, Fever, Kingkotti, Sarojini, Chest and other hospitals participated in the protest.
