Speaking to The Hans India Riyasathnagar division Corporator Mirza Saleem Baig said that a committee was formed by including members from police department, the health & sanitation wing and corporators. "This committee would undertake the steps as part of precautionary measures and also will be setting up observation centers with all medical facilities to accommodate the patients in each constituency, in case of emergency," he added. He said that since to set up the observation centers in residential areas would pose hazard to general public and as even the residents would object, these centres would be set up on the outskirts. For coming up with such kind of centers in Chandrayangutta constituency, he suggested some of the buildings suitable for the purpose.
"As the government passed orders to shut educational institutions till March 31, I suggested 3 colleges such as Arora Engineering College, Islamia Engineering College, Moghal Engineering College. These colleges are located away from residential colonies and would suit the purpose", said Saleem Baig. Saleem Baig said that anyone who returned from abroad and those with suspected symptoms of virus should inform the committee and the members would rush to the person and keep in observation center for around 14 days with all medication facilities.
