Jubilee Hills: Heavy police security has been provided at the residence of 'Megastar' and former Union minister K Chiranjeevi since Saturday following the alleged threat by Amaravati Joint Action Committee (JAC)to lay siege to the premises, as stated in the social media.

According to Banjara Hills division ACP K S Rao and Jubilee Hills Inspector Sattayya, the security has been put in place under their leadership. They said barricades have been fixed. Vehicle-riders were being allowed to proceed after a check of their belongings.

Chiranjeevi Fans' Association president Swamy Naidu and fans in large numbers from various areas reached the star's residence and raised slogans in his support. However, the Amaravati JAC denied issuing any call for laying siege to the star's residence. It claimed that the social media messages were part of a falsepropaganda.
