Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy has said that the second term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a golden chapter in the country's history.

Addressing the media here on Saturday, he said decisions like revocation of Article 370 for full integration of Jammu and Kashmir with India is a step in the right direction for the national unity and integration. It was a step to correct the faults happened in the past.

He said that the BJP is trying to end the dynastic and corrupt rule in the country with a strong resolve keeping the interests of people and the nation above everything else.

Similarly, providing relief to Muslim women from the instant issue of triple talaq, creating chief of defence staff for better coordination of the armed forces, resolution of decades-old Rama Janma Bhoomi were a few to name, which reflects the strong leadership of PM.

Giving details of various schemes launched by the Centre under Modi's government, he said farmers, poor, agriculture labourers, Ekalavya Modal Schools were a few to name.

Outlining the contours of the Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan scheme, he said the main objective of the programme announced was to make the country self-reliant by accelerating the country's economy.

Kishan Reddy said that unlike before about Rs 11 lakh crore has been deposited directly into the beneficiaries bank account under 435 schemes.

In turn, it saved about Rs 1.7 lakh crore from leakages in the schemes, he said.
