Hyderabad: Kishan Reddy tours riot-hit Bhainsa
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy visited the riot-affected areas of Bhainsa in Nirmal district of the State here on Sunday and assured the victims of the incidents all possible help.

The Minister along with State BJP chief Dr K Laxman, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind, Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay, former MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, M Narasimhulu and others party senior leaders visited the riot-affected areas.
During the visit, Kishan Reddy took first-hand account of the riots.Later, while interacting with the victims and members of their families, the Minister assured them government's support to all the victims in rebuilding their destroyed homes and in rendering justice to all.
Later, Kishan Reddy held a meeting with all the district officials at the IB Guest House in Bhainsa, along with Dr Laxman, Dharmapuri Arvind, Bandi Sanjay and M Narasimhulu.
Kishan Reddy said that he had spoken to district officials on the day of the incident to rush the police forces to the violence-affected areas and to maintain peace. He told the police during the meeting with the district officials that they have to take preventive measures since the areas are known to be sensitive.
He said the riot victims are yet to get assistance and list of the victims who have lost everything during the riots is reportedly lost.
He said that he had spoken to the State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar for the early disbursal of the financial assistance to the riot victims.
"In all, the officials have identified 101 victims and proposals to extend financial assistance to the tune of Rs 2.30 crore have been finalised," he said.
The Union Minister stressed on steps to be taken to ensure proper security and the officials were told to issue documents of the victims and their families which were burnt during the riots.
The Minister also said as part of the extending the support to the victims, the state BJP chief Laxman and MPs Bandi Sanjay and Aravind have announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh, Rs 5 lakh, Rs 5 lakh, respectively. He will be contributing three months of his salary to the riot-affected families, he added.
