Hyderabad: KTR tells MPs to toe the party line on CAA, NRC
TRS working president KT Rama Rao asked the party MPs to stick to the stand taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the issues like CAA and NRC.
Hyderabad: TRS working president KT Rama Rao asked the party MPs to stick to the stand taken by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on the issues like CAA and NRC.
The TRS working president had a meeting with the party MPs to give necessary instructions on the strategy to be adopted in the Parliament sessions. He asked the MPs to raise the issues in the House on the priorities of the State.
He wanted the MPs to raise the GST dues the State has to get from Centre. "The Centre has taken inspiration from several schemes of the State governments. Talk about the State government schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Beema, Telangana ku Harita Haram, Mission Kakatiya, Kaleshwaram project.
Speak out on the failure of the Centre in allocating not even a single rupee for these schemes even after the NITI Ayog suggested for funding, said KTR.
The Parliamentary Party has resolved to raise the issues like getting funds, long-pending demands in the meeting. The MPs would also explain to other MPs about several requisitions from the state to the Centre.
The MPs would ask the Central government to focus on the unemployment and the financial crisis in the State rather than unimportant issues like CAA and NRC.
The Parliamentary Party also hailed the huge victory of the party in the municipal elections. The party credited the success to the leadership of party chief K Chandrashekar Rao.
"The unrivalled results also reflect the outstanding achievements of the State in the field of development and welfare that have put it on top of the nation. The fact that about 70 per cent of the candidates elected to the post of chairpersons belong to weaker sections mirrors the leader's irretrievable commitment to social justice," said the resolution.
Parliamentary Party leader K Keshava Rao said that they would request for discussion on assurances made in AP Reorganisation Act for 30-minutes.
TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha Nama Nageswara Rao alleged that the Central Ministers were giving only political assurances but not implementing them.
