A 28-year-old man was arrested on Thursay for allegedly raping his mother-in-law. The incident occured at Chandrayangutta police station limits on Wednesday.
Bhaskar got married to the daughter of the victim (45), who is a resident of Kandikal of Old city. On Wednesday night, the accused who works as a driver took her to an isolated place near Gurram cheruvu at Balapur and raped her.
He later dropped at her home and threatened to divorce her daughter if she revealed the matter to anyone. However, she approached Chandrayangutta police and lodged a complaint against him.
The police registered a case and took him into custody.
