Speaking at the meeting with officials of various departments like police, energy, Hyderabad Metro Rail, Revenue, R&B, etc., the Mayor instructed the authorities to provide better arrangements by overcoming any shortfalls. Immersion of idols should be completed before dawn as was done during the last three years.

Further, he suggested that they conduct preparedness meeting at respective Commissionerate Zones concerned to have a better co-ordination between various stakeholders departments for above arrangements and R&B department to put up more efforts.

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dana Kishore said instructions were already issued to the sanitation wing to take up all necessary measures to lift garbage, left over waste as when formed during immersion process and after immersion.

The Electrical department officials are instructed to ensure all streetlights are glowing en route of procession. The Commissioner further asked the power utilites to provide generators at specific places.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar suggested for removal of hoardings, cement barricades and for strong barricading, sufficient cranes at Necklace Road and on Tank Bund and ensure driver of the cranes, mechanic and spare parts are available at spot during the immersion processes for quick and smooth movement of vehicles and also for providing 80 watch towers and mobile toilets etc.

Water board officials informed they are arranging 32 lakhs water sachets at various water camps, 2 lakhs more than last year, preventive measures on overflow of drainage and have super sucker machines ready to attend any emergency work.
