The Hyderabad metro has been recorded over one lakh passenger entry till 11 am due to the indefinite strike called on by the TSRTC employees from today. While the patronage is 50,000 during normal days.

All the metro stations are witnessing heavy footfall today with city buses going off-road and due to the Navratri festivities. Meanwhile, the metro officials have expanded the frequency of metro trains planning to operate 810 trips on Saturday. However, 100 trips have been already covered until 10 am.

If the strike continues, the patronage is expected to rise by Monday and additional staff will be deployed as per requirement, said HMRL director NVS Reddy.
