A three-day Music and Dance Festival is being organised from January 29 to 31 in Ravindra Bharati to unearth artists from rural areas, announced Telangana Sangeet Nataka Academy Chairman Badri Shiva Kumar.

Addressing the media, he announced that Minister for Cultural Affairs V Srinivas Goud would launch the festival in which 914 artists would take part. More opportunities would be given to newcomers during the three days, he said.
Kumar stated that on the first day, there would be a programme on poetry of Dr Dasaradhi Krishnamacharyulu, Dr C Narayan Reddy, besides Ghazals. During the next two days there would be sankeertan of vocal and Carnatic, Hindustani and instrumental music and dance events involving upcoming artists. 'Swara Samrat' Sharath Chandra would arrange music during the programmes. He urged singers to avail themselves of the opportunity by producing tracks of their songs.
