Hyderabad: Music & dance festival held in Abids

Abids: Sri Siva Sai Manasa Sarovaram International Cultural Trust founder B Nagaiah organised a music and dance festival at Telangana Sarswath Parishad from February 25 to 28. The festival was inaugurated by Dr Oleti Parvateesham, the advisor of the trust, on Tuesday night.

Dance performance by the disciples of Bala Tripura Sundari captivated the audience. Akhil mesmerised audience with his dance on Sundarkanda. A play 'Maya Bazar' presented by Surabhi team also impressed the audience. Bharata Dance performances by Basava Lavanya team also captivated the audience.

Later, artists who performed at the festival were felicitated and given certificates and prizes. Noted cine lyricist Suddala Ashok, TKV Raghavan, noted Kuchipudi dance teacher Dr Rajesh Shyam, Padmashri Award recipient Dr Shoba Naidu, managing director of PVJ Jyothi Vasu, program in-charge Janaki and others were present on the occasion.
