Patancheru: Because of the effect of Coronavirus on the local industrial estate, the Arjita Seva in temple in the Ganesh Gadda area, on the outskirts of Rudraram, has been stopped, while notices have been issued to temples, churches and mosques to check congregation of people in view of the spread of the virus.

In a related development, the Health department has identified 30 members of 13 families from Isnapur, Muthangi and Patancheru, who have returned from a tour in Dubai. The department officials have advised the families to confine themselves indoors, although they are stated to be healthy. The administration has advised the hotels on the national highway to be alert against the virus and to take action to prevent gathering of people.

Local Tahsildar Mahipal Reddy and Patancheru CI Naresh on Friday advised people they can avoid getting infected with the virus by maintaining personal hygiene. They interacted with owners on the Mumbai highway of Sweethouse, Silver Bawarchi, Hotel Hyderabad Delight, Pista House, informing them of the need for checking gathering of people and for using sanitisers by customers, besides for maintaining cleanliness. They also called for holding of awareness programmes on the ways and means of preventing spread of coronavirus.

This comes at a time Corona seems to have had an effect on residents of this industrial estate. They appear to be scared following the alert by the administration to various shrines and business establishments to be avoid gathering of crowds. The administration has also advised residents to avoid gathering of more than 200 persons at functions and not to book halls for any fresh events. At the same time it has impressed upon people of the industrial estate not to be scared by the virus, stating that its spread could be prevented by taking personal hygiene and staying alert.
