Hyderabad: Rajendranagar police bust highway robbery gang
The Rajendranagar police on Thursday arrested a four-member robbery gang looting the people on the Highways and city outskirts.
The Rajendranagar police on Thursday arrested a four-member robbery gang looting the people on the Highways and city outskirts. A car, cash and other valuables worth Rs 1 lakh were seized from them.
The arrested were identified as Saif Bin Ahmed Bashar, Abdullah Bashar, Mir Mohd Mujtaba Ali and Mohd Shahed Hussain, all belong to Old City.
The police said that the gang was targeting the people on the Highways and city outskirts for easy money making. The arrested are said to be involved in two robbery cases.
The arrest comes after a trader identified as B Ravi Kumar lodged a complaint with the police after he was robbed by the gang near old Aziznagar Gate in Rajendranagar. Based on the trader's complaint, the police registered a case and arrested the gang.
