AS Rao Nagar: Denizens especially senior citizens, visiting the Railway Reservation Block at AS Rao Nagar are furious over the notice stating that "No Separate line for Senior Citizens and Ladies."

The reservation block which always bears a long serpentine queue, consisting of senior citizens and women.

Sharing his agony, TV Nageswara Rao, a visitor to the reservation block, said, "Though there is a provision to run three counters in the block, the reservation block is running only one, making the reservation seekers much perturbed, vexed and tiring. The senior citizens aged from 60 to 80 years are facing acute hardship to get their turn for reservation."

Depicting a scenario, Rao further said, "On one day, I was pained to witness the situation of an above 80 aged couple (wife assisting his husband with a handstick and with back pain) standing in the queue, for their reservation. On my request, some young and middle-aged individuals who are in the front in the line gave the way for these senior citizens. Thanks to those individuals heading to my polite request for the sake of these very aged couple."

In view of this chronic discomfort having witnessed, the following remedy is suggested by people visiting the reservation block: Open one another counter for ladies and senior citizens. In case, there is no woman or senior citizen in waiting at that moment, then other passengers in other line shall be allowed to this second counter.

"Such sort of arrangement will ease out the discomfort to women, senior citizens, besides normal individuals, to a great extent," added Rao.
