Hyderabad: Due to Covid-19 pandemic, suspension of regular work in the Telangana High Court has been extended till June 28, according to a notification released on Saturday.

However, the court will continue to take up the final hearings, pending admissions and other matters and fresh matters through video conference. Physical hearing of vacate, stay petitions, final hearing matters etc., may be taken up from the Judicial Academy, Secunderabad, subject to the consent of both sides' counsels and have to give two days advance notice to the registry.

Advocates/standing counsels who do not have video conference facilities in their offices may address the court from control rooms established in the State Judicial Academy, Secunderabad. Moreover, subordinate courts, tribunals, TS Legal Services Authority, Mediation and Arbitration Centre, High Court Legal Services Committee and Telangana State Judicial Academy shall remain closed till June 14.

All the unit heads in the State, including Hyderabad and Rangareddy districts, may accept the physical filing of the cases in the courts, in addition to an online filing by following covid-19 guidelines.
