Hyderabad: Advising RTC employees to change their attitude, Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Wednesday directed Executive Directors of the Corporation to take disciplinary actions against the erring staff.

The Minister reviewed the welfare council with the senior officials and gave them necessary instructions on solving the grievances of the employees. The Minister asked the depot managers (DMs) to conduct the welfare council meetings every week on Tuesday and solve the problems of the employees under their control immediately with humane touch and refer other grievances which cannot be solved to the higher authorities for solution. The Minister asked the executive directors to categorise the disciplinary cases into three categories as Red, Green and Blue. The serious cases such as fatal accidents, drunk and drive cases etc should be considered as Red category where serious action would be taken and other normal disciplinary cases as Green and Blue where as sympathetic view would be taken up based on the issue.

The Minister also advised the executive directors to take an awareness programme for public regarding the maintenance of taking tickets from conductors after paying fare. He enquired about the efforts put in by the officials in solving the issues of the employees as desired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

There is a need to strengthen the TSRTC and also welfare of the employees and officials should focus on these two issues, the Minister said.

The requests like ODs, leaves on medical grounds can be considered in human angle. The officials told the Minister that they would bring up guidelines on job security within a week. The RTC MD Sunil Sharma said that the conductors would be given mikes for making announcement of stages and route information during the journey.
