Hyderabad: Addressing the media after a high-level review with senior officials of the Health department on arrangements for Sammakka Saralamma Jatara where crores of devotees would be descending in Medaram from February 5 to 8, Health Minister Eatala Rajender said the government would be setting up two temporary hospitals one with 50 beds at Jatara venue and the other with 10 beds at Reddygudem to provide medical facilities to devotees.

Apart from this, 14 peripheral health camps and 40 en route camps would also be functional, he added. More than 150 doctors, including specialists, 500 paramedical staff, fifteen 108 ambulances, four 104 vehicles and 10 bike ambulances would be stationed in an around Medaram. Six DMHOs and 10 deputy DMHOs would be in monitoring duty, he said. The minister said TVVP hospitals in Mulug, Eturunagaram and Parkal would function 24/7 during the festival period to attend to all types of cases.
