IT minister KT Rama Rao on Sunday urged prime minister Narendra Modi to deliver capital punishment to the accused in veterinary doctor rape and murder case amending IPC and CrPC.
KTR in a series of tweets asked Prime Minister to ensure expeditious justice to the victims and said anyone committing a heinous act of violence on women and children should be given the death penalty without delay. The minister further asked to take up the issue for a day-long discussion in parliament.
"Let us act swiftly to save our nation from these beasts who seem not to fear law of the land @narendramodi Ji, I appeal to you on behalf of millions of citizens who're aggrieved yet feel helpless & want us, lawmakers, to raise up to the occasion & deliver expeditious justice," tweeted KTR.
