  • Residents slam officials’ ‘criminal’ negligence
  • Demand immediate remedial measures to save precious water

Kukatpally: Even though precious drinking water has been going down the drain for the last three months because of a pipeline leakage near the sub-station in Khaitalapur of Balajinagar sub-division, no concerned HMWSSB official appear to be bothered.

None seem to be moved about the criminal negligence because of which water was being wasted, local residents told The Hans India. They point out that this has been happening at a time when the government is striving to provide water supply to the needy people spending crores. According to them, the pipeline needs permanent repairs.

Yet, no official has come forward with any proposal despite the fact that the area has become slushy following water stagnation. They want the HMWSSB officials to take immediate notice of the issue and take remedial measures, while saying that such leakages in pipelines were occurring at several places in the twin cities and their outskirts.
