Implement unemployment dole promise, demands BJP in Ellantakunta

Ellantakunta: BJP district leader Bendram Thiruapthi demanded the government fulfilment of its poll promise of unemployment dole to the jobless youth immediately. BJP mandal leaders staged a half-naked dharna at Ellantakunta mandal headquarters in Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, B Thirupathi said many unemployed youth actively participated in the separate Telangana movement and hoped that they would get plenty of job opportunities once separate Telangana is formed. But to their utter disappointment, the TRS government did not give even a single job to jobless youth except the police jobs till date, he alleged.

Separate Telangana is achieved for water, funds and jobs. But the TRS government is not taking any initiation in this regard. Before going to the elections, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in his election manifesto declared that he would give employment dole to all unemployed youth. But after coming to power, he forgot that and betrayed the unemployed youth present across the State, he criticised.

Thiruapthi lamented that unemployed youth were depressed due to lack of jobs and getting indulged in bad habits and destroying their career and lives. The TRS government is responsible for that, he alleged.

The BJP leader demanded the government fulfilment of its poll promise of unemployment dole immediately without any conditions and reduce the age limit to all those unemployed youth present across the State. Otherwise, the BJP will lead a massive movement to teach the TRS a fitting lesson in the coming days, he warned.

BJP leaders Kotta Srinivas Reddy, Santosh, D Raju, Thirupathi, Yella Reddy and Srinivas were present along with others.
