IT raids on private colleges in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Income Tax Department officials have conducted a surprise raid on the central offices of Sri Chaitanya and Narayana junior college at morning around 5 am in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Simultaneously, the raids were also carried out at Vijayawada, where the officers have seized the records. Its also reported that searches were initiated at the colleges and institutes director's residences in Hyderabad.

It's alleged that these colleges tried to avoid taxes by showing incorrect accounts to the government despite huge incomes in the form of students fees. A total of eight teams participated in the raid, seized record files and computer hard disk's. The complete details are yet to be known.
