Warangal: Janmashtami celebrated all over erstwhile Warangal district to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna, who is believed to be the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, with traditional gaiety and religious fervour on Saturday. Devotees were seen thronging the Lord Krishna temples all over the district.

Also known as Gokulashtami, the celebration marked with utti kottadam (breaking of the earthen pots filled with flattened rice, ghee and jiggery. Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhaskar organised a celebration at his camp office with children.
