Hyderabad: Junior doctors, who are boycotting elective duties for last few days, in protest against the government's proposal to increase retirement age of the teaching faculty in government medical colleges, has adopted a novel way to express their grievances.

After a protest at Osmania General Hospital on Thursday morning, doctors dispatched handwritten postcards to the Governor.

All postcards were dropped into postbox at GPO at Abids. Doctors urged the Governor not to approve age hike ordinance if sent by the government and requested him to advise the government to go for recruitments and regular promotions to overcome staff crunch problems in government medical colleges.

Later delegations from Telangana Junior Doctors Association and Healthcare Reforms Doctors Association (HRDA) went to Raj Bhavan to submit memoranda in Governor's office.
