Karimnagar: On the 14th day of RTC employees' strike, RTC-JAC members organised Oggu Katha programme in Karimnagar bus station on Friday. The Oggu Katha artistes explained the sufferings, which the RTC employees have been facing for the last few days, the purpose of their strike and their demands, had attracted the passengers.

Some of the women RTC employees staged a dharna in front of Karimnagar bus depot-I by kneeling down in protest against the stubborn behaviour of the government.

Leaders of BJP and CPI took out a bike rally in the city in support of the RTC employees' strike here. Members of RTC-JAC and political JAC took out bike rallies in support of the RTC strike in Jagtial district.

TJS Karimnagar district president Mukkera Raju said it is the responsibility of every person living in Telangana State to protect the biggest corporation of Asia, the RTC and its valuable lands, as the TRS government is trying to privatise it and hand over the lands to big corporates in the State.

Telangana Jana Samiti Jagtial district president Chukka Ganga Reddy appealed all sections of people along with the representatives of various people's organisation to participate in the bandh on Saturday, called by the RTC-JAC voluntarily and make it a grand success to teach the government a fitting lesson.

Meanwhile, RTC-JAC members are determined to make the Stat- wide bandh a grand success, as the State government is behaving stubbornly despite the orders given by the High Court to call the RTC union leaders for discussions.
