KCR meets TDP leader Mandava Venkateshwara Rao, invites him to join TRS

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday met TDP senior leader and former minister Mandava Venkateshwara Rao at the latter's home in Jubilee Hills and invited him to join TRS.

In the morning, TRS MLAs Mangati Gopinath, Puvvada Ajay Kumar held talks with Mandava who showed his willingness to join the ruling party. However, Mandava is said to be expressing his decision before media soon.

Mandava who served as MLA and minister has a strong base in Nizamabad. It is learned that the TRS party is making efforts to make him join in the party to utilise the vote bank of TDP which is not in the race of LS polls.

The TDP leader is one of the close associates of KCR when the latter was in TDP.
