The Chief Minister said that he will soon meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and make a request to accord Bharat Ratna to PV Narasimha Rao who had changed the country's future.

The government has decided to hold the PV Narasimha Rao cetenary celebrations in a grand manner at PV memorial Jnanabhoomi on Necklace road. Not only in Hyderabad, but the celebrations will also be held across Telangana and 50 nations as a tribute to his exceptional services in various fields. The CM has directed Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao to oversee the celebrations in 50 countries as the government has planned to celebrate the occasion by organising different programmes throught out the year.

He also instructed the authorities to hold special programmes in the educational institutions after they are re-opened.

Chandrasekhar Rao also recalled Narasimha Rao's association with other states like Maharashtra, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. "As a prime minister and union minister of external affairs, PV Narasimha Rao has held close relations with his contemporaries across the world," the CM said.
