Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will inaugurate the new MLA quarters constructed in the city on June 17.

Construction of the multi-storied buildings began in 2012 and it took seven years to complete the works due to some administrative problems with a private agency.

KCR will inaugurate the newly MLAs and MLCs' residential buildings at 11 am on the auspicious Eruvaka Pournami. State Assembly Speaker P Srinivas Reddy will also be present on the occasion.

An official statement said that prior to the inauguration, Roads and Buildings and Legislative Affairs Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy will perform required rituals as per vastu on the premises in the morning. The buildings were built at 4.5 acres area at the cost of Rs 166 crore.

As many as 120 quarters were built in 12 storied-buildings and every quarter has three bedrooms of 2100 sq yards each. The MLA quarters also comprise facilities like bank, club house, super market and parking for 240 vehicles.

On the ground floor, there are 23 rooms for holding meetings and hosting visitors.
