Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy condemns the alleged attack on BJP workers in Telangana and demands action to bring culprits to justice

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy asked the party cadre in the State to gear up for the municipal elections in Telangana State.

Addressing a public meeting organised at the party headquarters late on Friday night, the Minister said the ministerial berth given to him in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet is a recognition to all the ordinary party activists of the BJP.

Kishan Reddy said victory of the party candidates from four Lok Sabha seats in Telangana State was due to the hard work and sacrifices made by the party leaders and cadre over the years.

Kishan Reddy said the future is bright for the party in the State and the party cadre should be prepared for the challenges ahead to bring victory for the party in the ensuing municipal elections in the State.

In turn, to hoist the party flag on the State Assembly in the next elections for the State legislature, he said.

Terming it was only possible in the BJP for an ordinary party worker to become a Central Minister, Prime Minister, party president, Kishan Reddy paid tributes to the party leaders like B Rama Rao, A Narendra, Baddam Bal Reddy, Bangaru Laxman and others who had worked hard to expand party in Hyderabad and Telangana.

Referring to the alleged murder of a BJP activist Prem Kumar in Mahbubnagar, the Union Minister said similar reports are also coming from Nagarkurnool, Siddipet and other places in Telangana.

Condemning the murder of the BJP worker, he demanded that the State police take stringent action by bringing those responsible to justice.

He also said the Central government led by Modi would solidly sand by the the party workers who have been making sacrifices. "We will not accept any kind of suppression and stifling the voices of the BJP party men in the State," he said.

The Union Minister was given a grand welcome at the Begumpet Airport on his arrival on Friday for the first time to the city after swearing in as the Union Minister of State for Home.

Huge crowds gathered at the airport to receive Krishan Reddy. Later, in a four-hour long rally taken out from the Begumpet Airport to the State party headquarters, State president K Laxman, party national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and other leaders accompanied him.
