Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home G said getting elected as a Member of Parliament would not prevent him from fighting for the issues related to the State.

Addressing the party leaders and cadre of Secunderabad parliamentary Constituency here on Monday, he asked the party cadre to work hard to win the ensuing elections of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and other municipal bodies.

Also, he asked the leaders to continue to hold Assembly constituency-wise meetings to take stock of the problems being faced by the people and work to resolve them.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman asked the party cadre to intensify activities to ensure that the party wins GHMC elections.

He said building people's movements in the State on every issue bothering them as that would be the only way to strengthen the party in Telangana.

He termed that winning the GHMC elections is important for the party and said party cadre should intensify their activities working closely with the people on various issues.

He said it is the only way to defeat the power and money politics being unleashed by the ruling TRS and its close ally AIMIM. He said Congress and AIMIM are not and cannot be alternatives to the TRS and BJP is the only one which can take on the ruling party in the days to come.

Earlier, in the morning Kishan Reddy participated in a Padayatra in Golnaka and Tulasi Ramnagar to take stock of the problems being faced by people.
