Krishna river board team to visit Sagar, Srisailam from Feb 25 to 27
The officials of the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) will be visiting Nagarjunasagar and Srisailam including the powerhouses from February 25 to February 27, 2020.
The officials of the Krishna River Management Board (KRMB) will be visiting Nagarjunasagar and Srisailam including the powerhouses from February 25 to February 27, 2020.
A team consisting of the board member-secretary A Paramesham, two executive engineers and others will visit Pothireddypadu head regulator and Bhanakacharal cross regulator. The team is being led by the board chairman J Chandrasekhar Iyer.
On February 25, the team will pay a visit to Nagarjunasagar dam and its powerhouses on February 25, Srisailam dam and its powerhouses on February 26 and Pothireddypadu and Bhanakacharla systems on February 27.
The team would take stock of water storage in the two reservoirs and inspect the water being utilised by Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The visit of the KRMB officials is to learn about the reservoirs and the irrigation systems for better allocation of water to both the states.
