Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao has asked the party leaders to get ready for municipal elections as he inquired about party's chances in the ensuing civic polls by talking to general secretaries individually.
The TRS working president had a meeting with the party's general secretaries at Telangana Bhavan on Wednesday. He expressed confidence that the party would be victorious in the ensuing municipal elections.
According to sources, the TRS leader talked to each of the general secretaries individually inquiring about the chances of the party in the elections. He sought information about the party which is likely to give a tough fight to TRS and what needs to be done for ensuring victory in their respective constituencies, said a TRS leader.
He also enquired about whether there was any impact of the BJP in municipalities, the TRS leader added. The TRS leader briefed about the programmes that need to be taken up in the constituencies. He also appointed general secretaries as In-charges to the Lok Sabha constituencies.
There would be one general secretary for each Lok Sabha segment and two or three joint secretaries for municipalities. He said that the party leaders, MLAs, MPs and others would work with the leaders for ensuring the victory of the party.
