Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Friday said if people vote for the Congress

Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao on Friday said if people vote for the Congress, it would benefit Rahul Gandhi and if they vote for the BJP then it would benefit Narendra Modi and if they vote for the TRS, then entire Telangana would get benefited.

Addressing a gathering of leaders who joined from Shadnagar at Telangana Bhavan, Rama Rao said that if the leaders from the Congress and the BJP get elected, they would become slaves to Delhi. He asked people to decide whether they want 'Delhi Gulams' or 'Gulabis.' Rama Rao said that no party would be getting clear majority at the Centre hence every MP elected would become crucial.

"Even though TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Yadav is contesting election from Nalgonda, Congress leaders from the district are deserting their party. People should think what this indicates.

The Congress and BJP leaders are saying what will be the role of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in this election when either Narendra Modi or Rahul Gandhi will become PM.

With two MPs we got Telangana and if we have 16 MPs imagine the development it will bring to the State," Rama Rao said. The pending projects will become running projects, he added.

The TRS leader said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ignored the requests of Telangana. "We wanted national project status to Palamur or Kaleshwaram project on the lines of Polavaram... it has been three years now but no response from the Prime Minister. The BJP leaders think that they have no support base in the State and hence they don't consider the requests of Telangana," said Rao.

Rao said that the party with higher number of MPs would become crucial. "It will be like 'jiski lathi uski bhains.' If the Railway Minister is from the State, he will take away projects to his State.

Mamata Banerjee will take projects to Bengal, Lalu Prasad Yadav will take them to Bihar and to the village of his mother-in-law. If we have 16 MPs can't we bring new lines? PM brought bullet train between Delhi and Mumbai but via Gujarat- don't we need a bullet train. There should be a leader at Delhi who has capacity to ask," Rao said.
