Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K T Rama Rao directed the party MPs to counterattack the BJP and Congress MPs if they raise RTC issue in the ensuing winter session of the Parliament from November 18.

According to sources, the TRS leader asked the party MPs to raise their voice on the State issues in Parliament session. This is the first time after becoming the party's working president that K T Rama Rao chaired TRS Parliamentary Party meeting.

"If they bring RTC issue in Parliament, counter them by showing the new Amended Motor Vehicle Act brought by the Centre.

The State government has only implemented the Centre's Act, which has provision for privatising some routes and as per that provision, State government decided to privatise 5,100 routes," he said.

The RTC issue is likely to come up in Parliament as the BJP MP B Sanjay has moved privilege motion against the alleged manhandling by police.

The MPs have been asked to raise the issues including educational institutions like IIM, Bayyaram Steel Plant, giving funds to the schemes like Mission Bhagiratha, national project status to Kaleshwaram Project and promises of AP Reorganisation Act.

The TRS leader said that the party would give issue-based support to the Centre and the goal of the party is to protect the interests of the people of Telangana.

"We have written to the Centre on several issues like defence land for the construction of roads, NIMZ status to the Pharma City.

The Union Ministers have made promises on these issues, but they are pending for a long time. The MPs should focus and follow up on these issues," he said.
