Landslide caused due to rainfall leaves two families homeless in Hyderabad

Incessant rainfall has led to the collapse of two houses due to the landslide at Owaisi hills near Shastripuram in the city.

The two houses reportedly fell on to a hardware shop located down the hillock area. However, no casualties have been reported due to the absence of the people in the houses at the time of the incident.

The loss caused by the landslide is estimated by the Shastripuram Corporator Mohammed Misbahuddin and Village Revenue Officer who rushed to the spot after the incident.

The victims were asked to bring their documents of the property and Aadhaar cards to get the compensation under natural calamity scheme," said Sanjeev Kumar, VRO of Rajendranagar.
