Liquor shops licence extended by one month in Telangana

The state government has extended the licenses of liquor shops by one month.

According to a memo issued by special chief secretary for state, Somesh Kumar, the government has accorded permission to the excise and prohibition department to extend the licences of liquor shops whose licenses are going to expire by the end of this month.

The government is supposed to select new licensers through the new liquor policy. However, the new excise policy will come into force from October 1.

After a thorough examination, the government decided to extend the shops licenses by one month.
