Mahbubnagar: CPI's national secretary Narayana on Sunday vehemently opposed the Union budget and termed it as an economic terrorism budget.
Narayanan who took part in an awareness rally on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), said that the BJP government has made this budget pro corporate and gave economic defaulters like Malya, Nirav Modi and others ways to escape from the large scale loans they had taken from banks, while on the other hand the government is harassing the common people who are paying taxes by issuing income tax notices.
While speaking to media persons at R&B guest house in Jadcherla, Narayana said that by bringing in CAA and National Register of Citizens (NRC) on the basis of religion, the BJP government is trying to further polarise the public on the basis of religion and creating rifts between communities in the country. He lashed out at the Modi government for radicalisation of the youth and instigating them to carry out attacks on those whoever is voicing their concerns against the government.
"The BJP government is instigating some goons to carry out attacks on each and every one who is opposing the government's anti people's policies. The KCR government in the State and the central government are using police force to gag the opposition voices and arresting them for conducting protect against the government's wrong policies," he said.
"Now the time has come for the people to protest against such atrocious rule and we are planning to launch a month long agitation from Feb 23 to March 23, 2020 and spread awareness among the public about the wrong policies of both state and central government," added the CPI national secretary.
