Mahbubnagar: Supporting farmers' agitation, CPI, CPM, TRS and TDP leaders from Amarachinta mandal and members of various labour associations from Amarachinta municipality in Wanaparthy district organized one-day hunger strike on Thursday.

They demanded the Central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately roll back the anti-farmer laws, which will incur great loss to the farmers if implemented.

In Gadwal district, Nagarkurnool MP P Ramulu extended support to the farmers' agitation and said that all the three farm laws introduced by the Central government are favoring corporate and private players and less beneficial to the farmers.

He cautioned the BJP-led Central government that it has to face backlash from the people in the next elections, if it goes ahead with the agricultural laws. The MP assured that very soon the TRS government will deposit Rythu Bandhu amount of Rs 7,000 crores into farmers' accounts, which may start from December 27 to January 10, 2021.
