Mahbubnagar: The encounter of the four Disha accused hailed
Mahbubnagar: All sections of people, particularly the girls, women, men and youth in erstwhile Mahbubnagar district have celebrated the encounter of the four accused in Disha gang-rape and murder, on Friday.
In Jadcherla, the Sarpanch Association members and the Morning Walkers' Association members have expressed joy over the encounter of the Disha accused and said that there is no better fate than this for these inhuman creatures for their heinous crime of rape, murder and burning of the helpless veterinary doctor at Chatanpally Junction Underpass Bridge on National Highway 44 near Shadnagar.
"There have been growing numbers of rape and killing incidences took place in the recent past. However, the police were just confined to arresting them and sending them for remand. Even the accused in the Nirbhaya case, where a nursing student was tortured and raped in a moving bus and left her to die in new Delhi are still kept alive in the jail despite the Supreme Court had given death penalty.
As there is no conclusive result obtained in all these cases and still lying pending in the courts for years together, it is clearly giving wrong signals to others as they feel that they can also get off unpunished by committing such crimes. But, in this case, we all appreciate the police, as they have given the right punishment by encountering them. I think this should act as a deterrent to other such perpetrators, who should fear even to think of seeing a girl with evil sight," said Gopal Reddy, a member of the Association.
The members of Sarpanch Association celebrated the occasion by bursting crackers and later distributed sweets.
In Achampet mandal of Nagarkurnool district, the girl students from Government Girls Junior College took out a rally praising the police for eliminating the accused in Disha gang-rape and murder case. Later, the BVSc Students' Association members performed milk bath to the portrait of Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar and said that the police have done the best thing to give instant death to the culprits. "Today, our society has become so unsafe that girls and women fear to go out single.
The main reason for insecurity and lack of safety is because of non-implementation of our laws properly. In many rape cases, the accused are coming on bails and killing the victims and then going scot free, which is evidently proven in many cases in north India. This encounter should give them clear signals that anyone who tries to meddle with women and girls will get capital punishment," said a member of BVSc Student's Association in Achampet.
In Gadwal, the members of Vivekananda Association have poured milk on the portraits of VC Sajjanar and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
In Narsaipally, the home village of Dr Disha, of Kodair mandal in Kollapur constituency, the government school students took out a rally and praised the police for encountering the 4 accused and giving them instant punishment which they deserved it. "The accused were not humans but demons, they have not exhibited a single point of humanity and they deserve no life at all. The youth, the schoolchildren and everyone are happy to have seen the end of these evil-minded people, who killed our beloved daughter," said Venkat Reddy, a retired teacher from Narsaipally village.
