Mahbubnagar: The RTC strike on day10 on Monday was marked with Vanta-Varpu protest, rallies and agitations by RTC employees in front of all RTC depots across erstwhile Mahbubnagar. As part of the Vanta-Varpu programme, the employees took up cooking on the roads in Kollapur mandal of Nagarkurnool district and later, took out a rally and staged a protest in front of RTC depot. The all-party delegation including the Congress, BJP, TJS, CPI and CPM extended their support to the RTC employees.

Similarly, the RTC employees from Kalwakurthy district in Nagarkurnool also conducted the Vanta-varpu programme. The Congress party leaders from Kalwakurthy including Vamshi Chand Reddy and others took part in the programme.

In Mahbubnagar district, the RTC employees took out a rally from the R&B guest house and later staged a protest in front of Mahbubnagar RTC depot and raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his adamant attitude and insensitivity towards employees' issues. "KCR is behaving like a dictator and using the police force to stop the RTC strike. We will not budge to the threats of the government and will continue our strike until the government comes down to meet our justified demands," said the protesting RTC employees.

In Wanaparthy, the RTC employees staged a protest in front of the Wanaparthy depot. However, the police dispersed them and warned the RTC employees to conduct their protest peacefully and not to create hurdles in the way of plying RTC buses, lest they will book cases against the violators.
