Makthal Tahsildar launches phone-in to address farmers issues in Narayanpet
A weekly phone-in programme was launched in Makthal mandal on Wednesday.
Narayanpet: A weekly phone-in programme was launched in Makthal mandal on Wednesday. Makthal Tahsildar M Srinivas launched the programme and urged the public to call him on every Wednesday and get their doubts cleared relating to their land records and other issues.
"We have been receiving many complaints from farmers related to their land records. As we are busy with other government programmes on a regular basis, we have decided to dedicate a day to address the grievances of farmers in the mandal. To this effect, we have launched the programme called 'Mee Bhoomi Samasya Telupandi' where in any farmer under Makthal mandal jurisdiction having any issues pertaining to his lands, can approach us or call us and we will try to resolve their issues," said the Tahsildar.
The main objective behind launching the phone-in programme is to facilitate farmers have ease of communication. They can call us and share information about their lands and issues they are facing. We will record the same and try to resolve, informed the Tahsildar.
Many people in Makthal welcomed this programme as it would help them directly interact with the Tahsildar over phone. "Phone-in programme is a good move by Makthal Tahsildar. Earlier, people used to travel from faraway places, more than 30-40 kilometres, to reach Makthal headquarters to give representation. However, by the time they reach the Tahsildar's office, there would be no official in the office. This used to be tedious task. With the phone-in programme, it will now enable us to interact with the Tahsildar directly and get our problems resolved at a faster pace," said Narender, a resident of Makthal mandal.
