Malkajgiri: Residents raise a big stink

Malkajgiri: The locals of Samatha Nagar, Malkajgiri are facing a lot of inconvenience because of open drain. Residents alleged that GHMC failed to desilt the drain. It has been more than three months that the locals have been facing the issue and all their pleas are falling in deaf ears, as no action has been taken by GHMC yet.

The nala has become a breeding ground for mosquitoes. N Suresh, a resident, said, "The open drain has become a serious cause of concern. It is oozing out pungent smell. Also, during the monsoon, the drain water is overflowing into lanes and houses. We are fed up with complaining to the GHMC regarding the issue."
