Man held for killing step-mother, sister in Suryapet

A man was arrested by the police for killing his sister and step-mother on Wednesday over a family dispute.

The accused identified as Kappala Mahesh is learned to have killed his step mother, Anjamma (45) and Mounika (22). Anjamma is the second wife of Mahesh's father Nagaiah. On Wednesday, a dispute arose between which enraged Mahesh who then killed the two.

The incident occurred at Thalla compound of Suryapet. The police registered a case and arrested Mahesh.

On Tuesday, a mentally ill woman bludgeoned her husband to death at Chivvemla mandal of Suryapet. The victim was identified as Venkat Reddy. The woman tossed heavy stone on her husband while he was asleep.
