Man kills daughter for disobeying order

Nagarkurnool: In a tragic incident, a father killed his own daughter by hitting her with a mortar pestle in Kalwakol village of Peddakottapally mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Monday.

Going into the details, it is said that Shyamala (35), daughter of Yerraiah, a pastor, had left her husband two years ago and living with her father.

Worried over the failure of his daughter's married life, the pastor had asked his daughter to come along with him to a church in Hyderabad so that she can be treated and later can set her married life well.

However, Shyamala, who is also a little bit mentally ill had vehemently opposed to her father's idea and did not agree to go with him to Hyderabad. Even after repeated requests, Shyamala adamantly opposed her father's request and wanted to stay at home and opposed to any kind of treatment.

Last night, the father and daughter had heated arguments. The father had asked her to get ready in the morning to go to Hyderabad.

In the morning when Shyamala did not obey to his father's directions, Yerraiah grew angry and took a mortar pestle and hit on the head of his daughter, due to which Shyamala collapsed in a pool of blood and died on the spot.

The police arrested the pastor. The dead body of the deceased has been sent to Nagarkurnool district hospital for post mortem. The police have booked a case and are investigating the matter.
