MEO locks down private school for running sans permission in Nagarkurnool
A private school which did not got permission from the Education department has been locked by the Mandal Education Officer at Shatapur village of Peddakottapally mandal on Wednesday.
Nagarkurnool: A private school which did not got permission from the Education department has been locked by the Mandal Education Officer at Shatapur village of Peddakottapally mandal on Wednesday.
According to sources, the management of Little Stars School at Shatapur village had applied for renewal permission online. However, they failed to submit the hard copies of the same at the MEO office.
While taking up inspection of private schools, the Peddakottapally MEO visited the school and issued orders to lock it. "Today as part of our checking of private schools which are running without permission, we observed that Little Stars School at Shatapur was running without having formal permission from the Education department. We have locked it until further orders," said Govind Rajulu, District Education Officer, Nagarkurnool.
The school authorities alleged that the MEO has deliberately closed down the school. The authorities said that they would submit all the relevant documents and get the opening orders from the DEO soon.
