Minister Jagadish Reddy terms Congress protest 'jackal mourning'

Halia(Nalgonda): Energy Minister Jagadish Reddy on Wednesday described Congress leaders' Jaladiksha protest as jackal mourning.

Addressing the media persons in Halia of Nagarjuna Sagar constituency, he said Congress leaders behaved like conspirators by staging protests on the auspicious occasion of the State Formation Day.

Accusing the Congress leaders of doing little for farmers during their regime, he said the farmers of Telangana were in great trouble due to inefficiency of Congress governments. He added that the sin of acceptance of Pothireddy Padu in erstwhile Andhra Pradesh goes in the account of Congress leaders.

Congress leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy and Komatireddy Veankat Reddy kneeled down before the Andhra rulers for posts, he said.

People of the State are very clever and are not ready to accept the drama protests of Congress leaders. He explained the milestones achieved in the field of irrigation in the State in past six years by the TRS government.

He mocked at Congress leaders over opting complicated TBM for digging of tunnel for SLBC project in their rule.
