State Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy assured students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE), March-2020 that all necessary arrangements are being made to conduct the examinations flawlessly.

Hyderabad: State Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy assured students appearing for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE), March-2020 that all necessary arrangements are being made to conduct the examinations flawlessly.

After a video conference with the District Collectors, District Superintendents of Police and other departments on the preparedness for the IPE examinations, she asked students to fully concentrate on their exam preparation and not to worry about anything else.

The "Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has made all efforts conducting examinations efficiently and there have been no issues this year since the beginning till date. There will not be any problems hereafter too," she assured.

During the meeting, the minister asked the district collectors to coordinate with all other departments like police, postal, education, revenue, health, TSRTC, BSNL, TSSPDCL and NPDCL and ensure there will not any hitch in the conducting the examinations.

Special Chief Secretary-Education, Chitra Ramachandran, asked the district collectors to submit a status report in the form of a checklist by February 20, giving details of the preparedness of the district administration for conducting the IPE.

Besides, the district collectors were asked to submit daily reports during the examinations. The Secretary has also directed the police to extend the necessary support for the safekeeping of the question papers, providing escort to the transportation of the question papers and answer scripts.

The collectors were also asked to hold review meetings with the departments concerned to keep first-hand information on each and every employee assigned duties and to inspect examination centres to assess and provide basic amenities to the students appearing for the examinations.

The district collectors were also asked to utilise the services of the recently appointed student counsellors to encourage the students to appear for the examinations with confidence and courage.

The TSBIE officials said 9,65,840 students will be appearing for the IPE theory examinations at 1,339 centres spread across the State, starting from May 4, from 8.45 am to 12 noon. The TSBIE has constituted 50 flying and 200 stationary squads.

That apart, each district will have a higher power committee headed by the district collector, and a district examination committee. The TSBIE will appoint observers for the inspection of the conduct of examinations in all the districts of the State during the examinations.
