Predicts BJP will not cross 150 mark

Miryalguda: Firing salvo against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his attempts to deride him, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said it was an outburst that had arisen out of frustration as Modi has realised that the BJP would not get more than 150 seats. Similarly, he said the Congress would just manage to get about 100 seats.

Firing salvo after salvo at both the so-called national parties and Modi during his 45-minute address here, Chandrashekhar Rao particularly singled out Modi stating that the Hindutva practiced by him was fake and meant only to garner votes.

"The Hindutva we practice is real and is based on bhakthi. We are real Hindu's and Modi is a political Hindu," said KCR.

Ridiculing the allegations and counter-allegations between BJP and Congress levelled against each other day in and day out, the Chief Minister said that given the political climate in the country, the regional parties would call the shots at the Centre after the general elections.

"What is needed is a consortium of regional parties to take charge of the country and put it on the right path of development and progress. The nation needs drastic changes and only the regional parties can deliver that," he said.

The Chief Minister said Modi has been boasting about his decision to go in for surgical strike. But this is nothing new. Rao said when he was in UPA government, many surgical strikes had taken place.

Such things are never made public and used for political purposes, he said. He said Modi indulged in patting his own back for nothing.
