CM dubs PM a liar, asks him to learn from TS
Hyderabad: Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi of uttering lies at every election meeting, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has asked him to learn from Telangana, where even a sarpanch does not speak lies.
Addressing Mahbubnagar and Wanaparthy public meetings on Sunday, KCR asked whether a person of the stature Prime Minister should lie. He said, "Narendra Modi should come, learn from Telangana.
See the power situation in the state, pensions, Rythu Bandhu scheme and ask yourself whether you have these schemes in any of BJP-ruled states. You have copied our Rythu Bandhu. Learn the difference. How much we are giving and how much you are giving."
He further alleged that these national parties like the Congress and BJP will not do anything and they will not tolerate when someone is doing. Hence people should win not political parties, said KCR.
The Chief Minister has targeted the Prime Minister stating that he only makes noise without saying what he has done for the country. "He will not say what he has done and uses Facebook to target the leaders who are questioning them."
"Why Amit Shah (BJP chief) and Modi are targeting KCR? There is 24-hour power in the state. Is there any other state which is giving 24-hower power, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima schemes? They are afraid with of Federal Front of KCR and worried that if KCR comes to Delhi, they will not be able to continue their golmal," he said.
"Did Modi say he will do this or that if he wins? No. He did not say," alleged KCR and distributed pen drives to the media, which had speech of Modi in Mahbubnagar during 2014 elections where he promised funds for Palamur project and alleged that he did nothing even after giving hundreds of requests from the state.
The Chief Minister also targeted the BJP leaders for misleading people on social media about the schemes of the government and Central assistance. KCR said, "BJP leaders are saying out of 1,000 pension, Rs 800 is given by the Centre and state government is paying just Rs 200.
We are giving pensions to 47.88 lakh people by allocating Rs 11,843 crore in the budget. The Centre is giving Rs 203 crore and giving to just 6.66 lakh people. Will the BJP leaders come for debate," asked KCR. He said Modi has done nothing for SC, ST, BCs.
KCR said that Modi was acting as if he was the only person to take up surgical strikes. He reiterated that during his tenure as Central minister, the government carried out surgical strikes 11 times and these acts are not publicised.
"Lakshman says I will face consequences. My life is open book... I submit IT returns every year. I will fear only if I do something wrong. Mr Lakshman, you will face consequences as the Federal Front will come into power," said KCR.
Responding to the Prime Minister's jibe of depending on jyothishya, KCR asked why it bothers the BJP leaders. "They will not answer my questions but target me individually on my nose and talk on Ramjanmabhoomi.
Are we going to temples only when you say? No other person in the country perform yagas, that I have performed. What should be the political agenda, people's issues should be the political agenda," said KCR.
"There is a need for a change at the national level. People would see how polarisation would come after election," he said. There should be change in laws, and even the Constitution.
He said he had people like Prakash Ambedkar, Prakash Raj contesting in Bengaluru, DMK leader Stalin and many others to support him and added that the country is going to be ruled by the regional parties.
